Privacy Policy

Coupon Activator for Lidl Plus (the “extension”). Last updated: 14 September 2026.

This extension is built so that your data stays in your own browser. It has no backend server, and its author operates no service that receives, stores, or can read your data.

What the extension stores

Using Chrome’s extension storage, on your device only, the extension keeps:

• your Lidl Plus login tokens (a refresh token and a short-lived access token), so you do not have to log in every time;
• your chosen country and store;
• a cache of the public store list for your country (up to 7 days);
• the result of your last activation (coupon titles and counts).

You can erase the tokens at any time with Log out, and remove everything by uninstalling the extension.

Where data is sent

The extension talks only to Lidl’s own servers (accounts.lidl.com and *.lidlplus.com) to log you in and to list and activate your coupons — the same servers the official Lidl Plus app uses. It sends your data to no one else. There are no analytics, no trackers, and no advertising.

What the author can see

Nothing. Because there is no server, your login and activity never reach the author or any third party.

Permissions

• storage — to keep the items listed above on your device.
• webRequest (observe only) — to read the login redirect Lidl sends after you sign in, which is how the login code reaches the extension. It does not modify or block any request.
• host access to accounts.lidl.com and *.lidlplus.com only.

Children

Lidl Plus is intended for adults; this extension is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will accompany the next release of the extension.
